CELEBRATING 10 YEARS
On May 26, 2012 Cristabelle created the Hope After Head Injury Facebook page. From there, it has grown into a vibrant online community with thousands of people from all over the world. Over the years, her videos began to be shared, which led to invitations to speak at conferences and a growing passion for advocacy. Cristabelle continues to provide support for brain injury survivors, caregivers, and family members through her weekly live chats, monthly zoom groups, Facebook support group, social media pages, Brain Injury Bible Study group, "Hope Survives | Brain Injury Podcast," and more.
Many brain injury survivors have trouble leaving the house or attending a support group due to fatigue and overstimulation. Through social media, Hope After Head Injury enters the survivor’s “world”, wherever they are, and brings much needed support, hope, and social interaction by connecting survivors and caregivers with others who understand the daily struggles and can offer encouragement, ideas, and resources.
The heartbeat of Hope After Head Injury lives in the active online community of survivors and caregivers; each with a story, and each with a willingness to share compassion, kindness, and hope.
